Cleveland Clinic will begin site prep in 2026 for a 200-bed West Palm Beach hospital opening in 2029. An expanded outpatient and ambulatory surgery center at 15 CityPlace is set for 2027 as fundraising surpasses $180M.
Cleveland Clinic is advancing a multi-phase healthcare expansion in West Palm Beach that will add new outpatient capacity in the near term and a full-service hospital later in the decade. Initial work at the future hospital site is scheduled to begin in 2026, including demolition and land preparation, as planning progresses for a new academic medical facility.
An outpatient center and ambulatory surgery center are planned to open in 2027 at 15 CityPlace. The facility will significantly expand the system’s existing local footprint and provide additional access to specialty care and same-day procedures within Palm Beach County’s urban core.
The long-term centerpiece of the initiative is a 200-bed hospital targeted for completion by the end of 2029. The project is intended to expand emergency services and support more complex inpatient and outpatient treatment through integration with Cleveland Clinic’s broader clinical and research network.
Fundraising efforts tied to the expansion have surpassed $180 million to date. Philanthropic support also includes a $3 million gift establishing an endowed cardiovascular medicine chair within the Florida market.
Development activity reflects continued population growth and rising healthcare demand across Palm Beach County, with phased delivery designed to bring new capacity online ahead of the hospital’s completion, according to a Cleveland Clinic announcement.
