The Las Vegas Raiders and Intermountain Health announced a $25 million gift toward Nevada’s first stand alone children’s hospital. The 828,000 SF facility will rise on a 33-acre campus at the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park. It is expected to open in 2030 with 180 patient beds.
Nevada’s first stand alone children’s hospital has drawn a $25 million philanthropic commitment from the Las Vegas Raiders, an amount the franchise identifies as its largest charitable contribution to date. Intermountain Health, which will operate the facility, announced the gift on August 24, 2026.
Three owners anchored the pledge. Mark Davis, Egon Durban, and Michael Meldman each committed $5 million, and the organization itself added the remaining $10 million. Sandra Douglass Morgan serves as president of the franchise, while Mitch Cloward holds the region president role at Intermountain Health.
Plans call for an 828,000 SF building on a 33-acre campus within the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park. Programming includes 180 patient beds with capacity for future growth, emergency services configured specifically for pediatric patients, a full spectrum outpatient center, and inpatient and specialty care.
Two spaces inside Intermountain Health Nevada Children’s Hospital will carry the team name in recognition of the gift. Adjacent to the main lobby, the Las Vegas Raiders Bistro is intended as a gathering and respite area for parents and caregivers. Rehabilitation programming will occupy the Las Vegas Raiders Inpatient Rehab Gym, designed to pair therapeutic equipment with play oriented elements.
Fundraising continues through the Nevada Campaign for Kids, an effort co-chaired by Bill and Wendy Hornbuckle that is assembling philanthropic, clinical, and community partners around pediatric care in the region. David Flood, president of Intermountain Foundation and chief development officer at Intermountain Health, described the contribution as among the largest ever made through an NFL franchise. Details were released through Raiders Communications.
Intermountain Health has served as the official healthcare partner of the Las Vegas Raiders since 2019. Construction is scheduled to begin within the coming months, and the hospital is expected to open in 2030.
