University of Iowa Health Care will open a new family medicine clinic in Tiffin in late September. Sited at 391 N. Kimberlite Street, it will offer 12 exam rooms, a procedure room, and lab services, becoming the town’s first primary care option for patients of all ages.
Tiffin ranks among Iowa’s fastest expanding communities, and residents there have routinely driven to neighboring towns for basic medical visits. That arrangement changes in late September, when University of Iowa Health Care opens a family medicine clinic on the northwest corner of Highway 6 and Kimberlite Street.
As the only primary care clinic operating inside Tiffin, the facility addresses a gap in a town whose population growth has outpaced local health infrastructure. Academic health systems across the Midwest have steadily extended ambulatory services into suburban and exurban corridors, meeting patients nearer to home rather than concentrating care on central campuses. This clinic fits that wider pattern.
Five clinical providers will staff the location, among them family medicine physician Stacie Kasper, DO, who holds ties to the area. A layout of 12 exam rooms, one procedure room, and clinical lab services gives the operation capacity to grow as demand builds.
Care will reach patients across every stage of life, from newborns through older adults. Available services include prenatal and pregnancy care, same day treatment for minor illnesses, family planning, mental health support, skin care, well child exams, cancer screenings, immunizations, and management of most chronic conditions.
According to University of Iowa Health Care, Jeffrey Quinlan, MD, leads Family and Community Medicine for the system. The clinic sits at 391 N. Kimberlite Street in Tiffin, Iowa, and welcomes its first patients at the end of September.
